Comments about 50cc Gas 20 in. Chain Saw (Class B):

I'm a handyman who cuts occasional posts & helps clear fallen trees for family/friends. Gonna take it up north for tree felling at a cabin I own. This is a great, powerful, and well running 20" chainsaw. The price cannot be beat. Required just putting on the bar & chain, adjusting chain tension, filling with oil & gas, and it was running perfectly. The 20" bar & 50cc engine are as big as non-professionals would need. It is rated for "occasional" use only but I bet it will make light work of a day of felling & cutting up trees. Just don't think you're gonna be able to move to Oregon and be a lumberjack with this. :-) I was surprised at how lightweight it is and that it came with an Owners Manual, new chain, and socket wrench. You need nothing more except gas (mixed so pick up 2 cycle mix) & bar oil. The only negative was the brake socket for the handle brake has moderate wear to it. It works good for now but I'll need to replace it at some point. I highly recommend this great refurbished deal!

I have not used this saw yet but for the price I had to buy it for a backup saw. I have several poulan / craftsman (grey poulan) chain saws and they are always easy to start and run strong the newer saws have an air admittance valve built into the gas cap that gets clogged with dirt and dust which can cause problems running but its easy to fix.

20" saw has hefty feel, more power than 18", cast aluminum chain case, not supplied w/ storage case. I have some serious sized trees to chop up and I'll need two saws so one is always ready. The price at CPO was too good to be true. Hint: to install the chain, tilt the saw with bar straight up to align the chain with sprocket, making things easier. Learn how to sharpen the blade regularly and this saw will last a long, long time.

                                  A:

Class A is an open boxed item. Open box units are new or reconditioned items that may have been shipped from the manufacturer with minor packaging damage, minor tool damage, or as an incomplete unit to the CPO warehouse and may not include accessories or original manufacturer packaging. Each open box unit is inspected by CPO to be fully functional and in working order, and is repackaged to ensure safe delivery to the customer. Open Box units are covered by a full 60 day warranty covering parts and labor.

Class B is a reconditioned item. Manufacturer trained technicians thoroughly inspect each tool and repair the tools if necessary. Genuine factory replacement parts are installed if required, and the tools are tested to ensure they operate properly. The tools are repackaged and operating manuals are added to the box if necessary. Reconditioned tools get more individual attention than new tools. Tools that pass inspection are awarded manufacturer warranties to give customers comfort that the manufacturer stands behind the factory reconditioned tool.
